Board - pretty much feel that same as you but am very pleased with McNally.. think he could get things very steady off the pitch and will support making sure things are steady on it!
Reading - thought we played well actually on the telly, were just beaten by a better team but we had some really good chances... Cody was perhaps too raw to have made the most of the scares he put into their defence? I think it was a case of needing to win a game we were never going to be good enough to win. Don't think it was a question of performance.
Media skills - agree, he seems lacking. But I've just got to think that as much as people knock his lack of experience... he has been a professional footballer for many years (unlike us) and knows how various manager's have managed. He's experienced it. I think he could convert that into his own technique. I certainly don't judge him by his appearance on telly.
Colchester - Perfect time to blood Adeyemi, who did well I thought. 3 strikers up front is what we started with (Martin, Whaley, Holt) and we then reverted. After those first 2 went in there was not all that much could be done. 2 more went in pretty quick... there just wasn't time! It was the people on the pitch who needed sorting out.
I didn't scoff at your 433/451 by the way... I scoffed at the players offered to play it! Martin is a 442 forward, not a wide man. Hoolahan is a sit behind a front two not wide of a 3 or 5! I think a 5-2-1-2 with wingback and Hoolahan in the hole is the answer.
