What he should have done is steam out and kick the f**ker on the volley.

Unfortunately I think his mind just went blank.

a) it just looped up into no-man's land.
b) none of our other defenders (Doc) seemed to chase after it
c) he know full well he had to give the guy a touch before it could touch his hands.
