I didn't tell him to f**k off; just to leave it

We were all f**ked off and it wasn't the time to bring up Roeder. For what it's worth, although I think he's wildly wrong about Roeder, I can see where pants is coming from - he's just trying to point out that when Roeder was fired it wasn't the beginning of a bright new future and there's no real cause for optimism because the real problems are elsewhere.
