Trying to find some optimism...........I will say this.

There is a well known saying in sportsbetting markets that "no team is as good or bad as we think they are"

The stock market is exactly the same..........

"The best time to invest is when there is blood on the streets"

Basically it hilights that the reaction to short term results is often overblown because of sentiment.

The only positive I can gleem from todays disaster is that its a huge wake up call which gives us plenty of time to put things right.
We have the squad plus the window is still open

I remember when Sunderland lost their first 5 games in the champs and went on to romp the title.....

I know I am desperatly clutching at straws................
