Regarding your festy camping thread; did you sort yourself out with a tent in the end?
Earlier this week we snapped up one of the few remaining cheapy festy tents & basic sleeping bags from Sainsburys. ?7/8 with a choice of the basic rectangle shape and cosy 'mummy' type sleeping bags. We tried the bags out and they're bloody good quality for the few pounds we shelled out, though we haven't tested the tent yet. But it's very light, comes in a small bag and the spec says it's waterproofed plus it has a snazzy leaf design which should make it more easily identifiable amongst a festy mass of plain coloured jobbies.
I had a look at the links you, Fierce Panda and others posted, and yes though they were good quality (anything by Gelert, Vango & Outwell will be), I wouldn't want to be spending ?35 at Amazon on a decent tent to then see some pissed up c*nt wreck it or nick it.
Clare bought me a Vango Stealth 300 for Christmas last year, saving money by buying the discounted display model, we've checked it out in the nearby fields (only needed one pole replacing for ?10 from Norwich Camping & Leisure on South Hill Road near us - they're recommended for their gear but not for their terrible customer service!), and are gonna give it it's maiden outing next week in Somerset so that we're in the neighbourhood for Yeovil & Exeter (plus Brentford on the way home). Haven't been camping since my DofE days so I can't wait!
Good luck with whatever you end up getting.
