It is applause

From the Football League site:

"The Football League has asked its clubs to hold a minutes applause to commemorate the life of Sir Bobby Robson at all matches played during the opening weekend of the new football season."

I hope it's respected by both sets of fans. Yes he managed the scum at Poorman Rd though their best years, but he was also one of the best modern day England managers and all round a legend of football.
