Not what I'm saying.

It certainly doesn't help matters though does it. Even with the best support in the world we'd be unlikely to win away at AC Milan (or Fulham :( ). Support on its own can't win or lose matches but it does make a huge difference.
What I actually said though was that we'll be a club in crisis if we lose to leeds and teh fans start to clamour for NW's head. Losing to leeds would be unfortunate but again they are a good team who even if we'd won all our games so far we'd be worried about.
By his own standards so far Leon has been v.below par but all this talk that he's suddenly total sh*te is seriously off the mark and hardly likely to boost his confidence. Hughes and Doherty may not be the most cultured gifted footballers ever to wear the yellow and green but they will be a hell of a lot better with confidence.

A point in case was vs Man City last year. We went 2-0 up playing some of the best football I've seen in years and years. We looked like we could win 5-0. We let in one soft goal and instead of pressing on all the confidence went from the players and from that moment you knew we'd lose. Noone wanted the ball and whoever had it looked like they were juggling a hot coal. They just wanted rid of it **anywhere** so it wouldnt be them who made the mistake.

All we are doing at the moment is ensuring our players start each game in this frame of mind and I for one don't think that helps. We might still win we might play brilliantly and lose but whatever lets get behind the team for now. If we're midtable or lower come January thats a different matter I'm not suggesting putting up with dross indefinately but lets have some perspective we were doing brilliantly at the end of last season we have had a huge upheaval and most relegated clubs take a few games to adjust.

Lets not turn a small adjustment period into a crisis that could set the club back years.
