he hung on to the ball too long at some stages and got himself into trouble as a result. Cost us the first goal....
A couple of times he tried to dribble his way out of our own area, which could have cost us too.
Clearly in League One he SHOULD get away wtih it more, but he needs to be more cautious when in his own area/near our 18 yard box.
Apart from that though he was fantastic, his ball over the top to Whaley for the 3rd was bloody fantastic. We need him here this season to give us the natural balance with Whaley over on the RW. I know Hoolahan didn't play LW today but I'd imagine he'll be drifting out there more over the course of the season.
SO many positives today, to come back twice against a Prem team (regardless of it being a friendly) who had pretty much their full strength XI out, following a 1-0 win AWAY at Palace, really shows how much we've turned the club around since the end of last season.
Credit has to go to Gunn and I really hope we can have a successful season with Gunn turning out to be one hell of a manager for us.
