Well yes and no

over the years we've seen too many examples of REALLY useless players for anyone to make that claim. On the other hand is he anywhere near as good as is made out (someone the other day reckoned he was Premier League class)? No. I'd put him somewhere between McVeigh and Croft in terms of effectiveness. Certainly not a guaranteed starter IMO.
