Thoughts on yesterday...

Thought it was a good run-out, if a little unlike what League one will be like next season. The United youngsters ave aobviously been told to pass the ball round but still young and lightweight.

My main points:
1. Adeyemi was obviously class yesterday. He looks physically strong, picks out easy passes and also puts himself about in the tackles. Plus of course he scored a quality goal, which was nice.

2. If we had kris Bright and Jamie Cureton up front together, ever, we would never score. Ever. Get rid of both. Bright looked like a darts player from a District League.

3. Otsemobor was still frustrating - kept running a certain length up the pitch then stopping again.

4. A fan got arrested at a friendly match, which was funny and more entertaining than the match at that point.

5. I liked the 'did you come from Yarmouth?' chant to the United fans, even though I live near there myself!

6. Lappin looked good both halves. I thought he played with assurance and rarely gave the ball away. Looks like he is above a few others in Gunn's thoughts.

7. Askou should be signed up, looks a bit like Vidic and v strong. Plus he may be left-footed?

8. Nice to see Grant Holt. He didn't get much chance to impress but won a couple of headers.

9. Martin and Spillane have beefed up alot since they have been away. Was impressed with Martin, shrugged a few off the ball!

10. Finally, Whaley played very deep for a winger...he was often defiending back with Otsemobor. Maybe it was just the way the game was going but would like to see more of him before making a judgement. Could be a good signing though.
