What I gathered from that is...

...Gerrard got a bit excited and was probably pissed...a bloke planted an elbow on some other bloke followed by some blurry stuff...a BBC reporter painted a he's guity picture by running over some of what the prosecution presented whilst running a bit of crap CCTV footage...

I'm not saying he didn't do it I'm just saying that was hardly the conclusive proof I thought I was about to view...
