....one of me best friend's has the same wheat problem thing your Mrs has so for her birthday I made her a chocolate cake using ground almonds and mucho Green and Blacks hot choc sauce...

On the first mouthful everyone shot their collective bolts - male and female - it was so scrummy...

Point is, without teaching you to suck eggs, you can make bread out of loads of stuff so you can still have your marmalade or jam or *vomit* Marmite etc and still be supportive...

Or you could just tell her to stop being selfish...
