Yet we know far more about McVeigh than we do about about Maric.

How big a gamble is it signing McVeigh on a 1 year deal.
You know he isn't getting paid much.
I am sure most of his deal is based on various incentives.

I don't think anyone sees him as nothing but a squad player who can fill in if we are short handed.
