I sat square on for a Windies test once.

I don't think i actually ever saw the ball - just the odd stump cartwheeling and the regular sound of the ball thwacking into Dujon's gloves (who was standing about 50 yds back).

It was at Trent Bridge, it was then quite easy to walk around and watch from different angles. I've never been to Edgbaston
