That peice quotes an Iranian nurse about how in his country they are more family-centric and they look after their old people till they die. That's such a lovely idea. But I remember the time my parents tried to look after my grandmother, tiny, frail, with senile dementia, raving round the house at 3 in the morning, incontinent. They just couldn't do it and I don't blame them. How do they cope with that in Iran? Or is it just that their old people die sooner because of poor diet and poor medical care?
