How irritable are you? Serious question.

Me, I'm so irritable that my irritability irritates me.

When I heard about Wii Fit i almost preordered it, but held off - and one day my mate 'phoned and said I really HAD to nip over and try his, cos it was brilliant etc.

So over I nipped. He used it first, to demonstrate, and then offered me a go on it. I declined: to me it was *massively* annoying, and I mean that in Font Size 144. All the graphics are sickeningly cutesy: I once remarked on here that playing Wii games felt uncomfortably like wandering into an 8-yr old girl's dreams, and so did Wii Fit, except that the machine was now addressing me, or rather, addressing my mate.

He performed a simple task, simple enough, anyway, merely keeping his balance for the required few seconds.

"You did a GOOOOD JOB!" proclaimed the machine, while on screen a dozen smiling pixilated figures danced and applauded.

If that had been mine, I'd have smashed it into pieces. I mean, it's called "Wii FIT"; young children are generally very active and healthy; why aim/target/market the device at children?

That said, another mate lost a huge amount of weight using one - but then put it all back on again, later.

Did I ever tell you that I broke my Wii by nutting it?

Irritable, me.
