A Scummer friend has just e mailed me to say

that on a Scum site called "Those were the days" there is a thread with 27 entries on the misuse of the inverted comma. I haven't read it myself but I wonder if the f**kers aren't trying to trump us on matters of an intellectual bent. Frankly, I would never have imagined that they had even heard of an nverted comma in Scumland. It's a worry
