South Korea and Japan are in the Northern Hemisphere. Therefore the World Cup took place mid-summer there, and it was f**king hot.
Whereas July in South Africa is mid winter.
eg look at the charts below - it rarely gets above 20 degrees in July in any of cities there.
In what way is that going to hinder the Europeans? (Guess it might be a bit cold for the Spanish...but not sure that'll really help Brazil.)
