Never use VB. Ever.

I'm serious! It's a heap of horses**t that seems easy enough when you start and you canusually very quickly build something that half works and impresses your boss. Unfortunately, to make it usable by others will take the rest of your life (especially if mixed with COM - the only technology worse than VB)
