Its nothing to do with ones i.q (as mine is high) Nothing to do with Anyones knowledge of anything, its a learner difficulty that some get past and others dont and it is on different scales from person to person. Its also said that many people with dyslexia have photographic memories and the key to learning is using material people can relate with. I happen to have a difficulty in spelling and general associated english.. Which never stopped me being in the top groups for maths, History, And p.e at school, passing many numeracy and literacy exams, Becoming a fully qualified mechanic, Paint sprayer, panel beater, and valeter while at college. And also never stopped me passing the first year exam in being qualified to advise on personal pensions while working at cadde financial.
