some drivers are quicker than others, as Morrissey almost said. And some cars are, too.

F1 is all about the combination, and also about the teams' abilities to make their cars faster, and about the way different cars suit different tracks and different conditions.

Or it is in a good year. So far this year, the combination of Button and Brawn seems to be faster than anyone else on any track, in any conditions, pretty much. Impressive, but getting a bit boring.
