Dublin's quality wasn't in doubt, it was always his age that was a problem

only played a handful of games for Celtic and didn't set the world alight at leicester (iirc) - plenty of looking at his lack of goals even though it was pointed out he played a fair bit at centre-back for both

there were a fair number of grumbles about us only signing a player that Forest no longer wanted and that they didn't think Clingan was good enough to make the step up and was why he was available on a Bosman - usual sort of bollocks (both good and bad) that gets posted with any new signing
