impossible as it sounded, from their Spanish Footie correspondent. Messi is adidas and they would prefer him to be at Madrid (also adidas) than Barca (Nike) apparently.

And in Spain if you are prepared to match the buy out clause (Messi's is ?100m), then the player is free to leave.
