Neither are medically trained as such

ie they've not done a degree in medicine. My friend became a chiropracter - she was talking once about how you had to do chemistry and biology as part of the course and how most people struggled because they hadn't done science at school. Which, quite frankly, worries me, because if someone's doing stuff with my bones I'd like them to understand the impact.
