yeah but, why bother fighting to hang on to them?

it's not like England needs them is it?

it's not like the old days when it was part of a King's job to invade his neighbours and gain as much territory as possible?

they're bothered enough to want their own parliaments so why not go the whole hog and properly give them their freedom?

bit like the kids flying the nest intut...
