There is no main-stream party that speaks to the working man anymore, so the BNP slide in and say what they want to hear.

Some of the BNP policies, particularly their labour policies are left-wing. This is a sham as they will never be in power and never have to implement them, their idea being to get seats such as this a rabble rouse.
