Has this summer been one of the worst in the........

last ten years? I cannot remember a summer so lacking in sunshine in the last five years. Last year was bad but we had an Indian summer and some sunny weekends in August and September but this year has been terrible.

We have now what 3 more weekends before the autumn kicks in?

What rubs it in for me is when most of the rest of the country seems to have wall to wall sunshine whilst here in Norfolk it in dank and overcast. Yesterday was a classic example of this. I see news bulletins from the cricket and commentator was going on about what a glorious sunny day it was and you could see the people in the crowd basking in the sunshine. The v festival was wall to wall sunshine and my parent drove down the Stamford and said that once they got out of Norfolk it was a beautiful day with non stop sunshine.

What do we get? Dank and grey overcast skies. Oh, we did have blue skies and sunshine but not untill 6 o'clock in the evening, what the f**k good is that?

In Norfolk we seemed to have been dealt a raw deal in the weather stakes as a couple of weeks back most of the rest of the country (including Suffolk) had lovely wheather and excellent sunshine whilst there was a stubborn blanket of cloud over Norfolk.

Oh, and one more moan, why is it always sunny during the week when everyone is at work and then when the weekend arrives we get cloud, and then on Monday the sunshine returns?

Sorry about that rant but i wanted to get it off my chest and i realised today that in a months time we will be staring a cold, dark, miserable winter straight in the face.
