From the Dodgy rumours site
In an effort to get out of League 1 at the first attempt and gain relegation to League 2, the politbureau at Norwich City will do nothing in particular until the first week of August when bids will be made for players who are either dead, retired, or have expressed a preference to have their fingernails pulled out to joining the forlorn and soon to be feathered up Canaries.
Frantic weeks of phone calls will commence at that time in order to secure at least twenty six players on loan, this will include out of favour Melchester Rovers forward Mervyn Wallace and veteran schoolboy Billy Dane. Norwich will also sign reserve team players from Swansea City, Carlisle and Notts County, before not even letting them try the club shirt on, much less play a game.
As for outgoings, the club will honour the release clause in Sammy Clingans contract which is whoever the Canaries pay ?1 Million to first?Clinghan is though to be the first player to have a clause which is activated when his own club pay the fee, rather than the buying club.
Bryan Gunn will boost morale by saying that he gets regular phone calls from "Fergie" but it will turn out that the Fergie in question is Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson who keeps dialling the wrong number.
Norwich City?coming to a non?league ground near you soon.
