y'know, the whole point of football matches now are to make *money*

eg qualifying for European football - you don't care because you might *win* it - in fact you'll probably field a second XI to avoid damaging your chances in the league. 'cos that's the way to qualify again and make more *money*.

Where's the money in winning the FA Cup final?
