for too long and the poor old girl's nearly dead. They (everyone from the Board to the manager and coaches) need to face up to what they've done and put it right. Grow some balls, for a start.

They say the money goes into the playing budget - a meaningless phrase. It could go to pay off Doomie or in some agent's pocket and no-one would be any the wiser. Or it could be wasted on signing some no-hoper and then paying up his contract. And on past experience, that's what will happen.
