His only point - and of course it's logically true - is that it's impossible to say that any particular amount of cash is earmarked for a particular purpose. Because money is money and it all looks the same. So you can never say which bit of money is going to which purpose.

ie the definition of fungibility.

Unless I missed something, he never atempted to say anything about what proportion of our resources might go on player budget next season.
