Next season's hate target ..

The first weekend in May saw Chairboys midfielder Matt Bloomfield celebrating for two reasons.

Firstly, the Blues secured promotion to League One on Saturday 2nd May, before Norwich City, the rivals of his beloved Ipswich Town, were relegated from The Championship the following day.

'Blooms' began his career with the Tractor Boys and with Norwich competing in The Premier League only four seasons ago; the midfielder never dreamt he would be playing against the Canaries so soon.

He exclusively told wwfc.com: "The Norwich games stick out for me. I'm really looking forward to going to Carrow Road and if Ipswich aren't playing at home that day a few of my mates may come across and support Wycombe."

And despite former Premier League sides Charlton Athletic and Southampton also competing in what will be a strong League One next season, the club's no.10 feels the Blues shouldn't fear anyone.

Blooms said: "There (Norwich) not having the best time at the moment and we must go into games against teams like Norwich and other big teams believing we can win."
