Define "reasonable pot"

For us to have signed players would, surely, have required board, manager and CEO to be singing from the same hymnsheet. I don't think they were. And the 06/7 squad, which featured an excellent first XI, was terrifyingly shallow beneath it. Around December, I think I calculated that we'd shown top 2 form with all our first XI fit, and bottom 3 form with anyone injured!

Going into that season, we all knew how thin our squad was. Did Worthington appreciate it; and above all, did the board?
