In his last job before Fulham, he took Finland to within a game of their first ever major finals. He's been ludicrously overlooked at times because of three months where it went wrong with Blackburn (who he took into Europe in his first season), but his record is generally excellent. That we preferred Peter Grant to him defies belief.
