IIRC he made all the right noises to gain the seat, but, surprisingly, did f**k all about it when he got in.
Though, to be fair, he wasn't alone in that.

Now we are saddled with a while elephant of a hospital that racks up parking charges in excess of ?3m each year, and is also largely crippled by its PFI arrangement.
