most Prem teams have huge debt (Man City are a good example). We are in debt and we are financially well managed. While such clubs are in the Prem the debt is serviceable so unless it goes REALLY out-of-control like Leeds it can be carried on. Look at Southampton - a supposedly low-wage-paying, financially well run Prem club with relegation clauses in contracts and everything. Yet once relegated they have to dump loads of players while spending peanuts on replacements.
