Here's the thing: There's Public and Private bit torrent sites where you can get moody downloads.
Anyone can get on a public one, and crucially, anyone can upload stuff. That's how your computer can get the Bad Aids, quite easily, if you frequent public trackers.
The private trackers, though, are in the main, utterly anal about the stuff that's made available. Anything outside of the Rules is deleted immediately, and whoever uploaded it is forever banned. This, obviously, includes anything nasty like virus-ridden stuff.
I don't use any public trackers, ever. Young Gitlet's school master was quite right - you can get properly nasty stuff that way.
Of course, I still use anti-malware stuff, but I've never picked up anything nasty from a bit torrent.
