That was what struck me too, the sheer size of him on the start line.

Like you, we would have liked to stick around to watch, but with the rain, and me being in vey great need of a shower, we though we'd just watch it on telly.

Did it stay dry for you out on the course? I was at the front of the blue wave so it started raining about 10 mins after I finished, but there were still 10000 odd that started after me that would have got caught in it.
