Why wouldn't he want to stay....

Owners desperately looking for a way out, a novice manager who is beginning to look hopelessly out of his depth & not much possibility of bringing any quality players into the team due to the financial contraints.

I would imagine Hoolahan's agent is a very busy man right now planning his exit strategy.
