To clarify: Andy absolutely did NOT mean what you seem to have inferred. He didn't mean anything violent or unlawful: he meant financially. The only way the fans can really influence and pressurise the owners is by not renewing, or cancelling their STs - because with 18000 plus STs already in the bank, the board can plan ahead in terms of budgets and know they can pay off this year's instalment of the securitisation loan.
Whereas if the ST uptake dramatically fell, it'd change the rules of the game completely. The banks would put the pressure on, and D&M would probably be forced to sell up. If the club's decline continues, it'll surely come down to boycotts and a plea for fans' groups not to renew: that's all Andy was getting at. He's a superb speaker, and if there's ever a Delia Out campaign, I hope he's part of it. Funnily enough, he actually finished by trying to clarify to Chris Lakey that the last thing on earth he is is a rabble rouser; unfortunately, Archant went ahead and quoted him in the exact way he'd suspected.
