I don't usually post but felt people might find this interesting.....

One of my family came into some information which was given to her by a friend of Crook. Basically Chippy alluded to the fact that Gunn did not choose him to come in and he was the board's choice. He also advised he had a contract until 2010 (this info was given to me before he revealed in the EEN that he had this contract)

He also confirmed prior to the Gunn appointment that both Tony Adams and Paul Ince had approached the club about the vacant post.

Ok, I don't think any of us would have wanted Adams but Ince would have been my number 1 choice, yet again the club overlook someone proven at lower league level for a man with no experience but a whole lotta love for the club.
