Burnley have a 3.8 million wage bill because their income dictates their wage structure at the club.

Basically most clubs including us have been overpaying for mediocre champ players.

The irony is that a lot of these overpaid players have almost no chance of playing in the Prem yet they demand huge wages when they have nowhere else to go?????????

Its f**king crazy and the burnley chairman is spot on that the para payments has forced a silly champ wage level.
If para payments stopped wages in the champs would go down like a lead balloon.

Hopefully relegation will force us to control our club wage structure.
It will force us to find players who want to play for us rather than those looking for the highest bidders.

Long term thats a good thing IMHO.
