I sometimes eat solo when Mrs Git is away for half term and I'm working late. But I always take a book or a crossword and erect an English "silence please" barrier around me. If some stranger tried to talk to me I'd get the right hump. Actually I have started doing this in my club because it's easier to avoid attempted conversation.
