The later edition of the Birmingham Evening Mail carried an amended report (not updated on icbirmingham), to say that Morrison was NOT in talks with Palace, as no fee had been agreed between the clubs.
Blues today insisted that Norwich City remains Clinton Morrison's likely destination.
Blues agreed a fee for the striker, approaching ?2 million, and he held talks with the Canaries last night.
But Morrison left Norfolk without putting pen to paper on a contract and Norwich were told that he planned to meet with Crystal Palace today.
Although Palace have registered their interest they have not met Blues asking price, nor have they got permission to speak to Morrison.
Given the sour relationship between the two clubs, Palace would have their work cut out anyway in trying to hijack the transfer, as would the other most keen club Southampton.
Manager Steve Bruce affirmed: "Norwich are the only club who we have agreed a fee with. Clinton can't talk to anyone else."
Norwich said that their meeting with Morrison had been very positive and they were hopeful of completing the transfer on Monday.
