The windows didn't open when I lived there. True. The bathroom window had a few flappy v

ents that I was able to open by pulling a string, but that was the extent of my ability to leave the windows open.

Anyway, if the windows were closed they just dug a paving slab out of the road and put it through the living room window. Truth. That was the third break-in, the second one where they actually managed to get in, but by that time, I'd taken anything worth nicking to my new place in Wakefield.

After the first time they actually got in (took my 14 inch TV and playstation) they came round and knocked on the door a couple of evenings later, and said that for ?10 they'd "have a word with the lad that nicked my stuff" to see if they could get it back for me. Yeah, they weren't the brightest lads around.
