Totally agree with your second paragraph.

I would say though that if one was going to get that 8k a week regardless of whether one put the effort in or not, and one had had one's agent in one's ear for the last month saying 'Don't worry son, if the club goes down I'll find you somewhere else at the same money' one wouldn't really bust a gut ?
