The Manc Canaries went to St Mary's to 'seek closure' on the 4-3 defeat last season. We're still waiting!
Observations: We were the better team, certainly deserved a point at least. On the penalty, Flemming had no chance of getting his arm out of the way, 'ball to hand'. It was Southampton who encroached to force the re-take.
Thought Colin had a good game, with Safri MOTM.
Ashton had an off day, should have scored with a 1-1 with the keeper. Not enough in the way of through balls from the midfield, rather too many long balls. Not sure that a Hucks / Ashton front two works. Both of them chasing the ball out wide left no player in the box.
It's one of those days when the Team didn't 'click'.
After 9 hours in the company of Virgin Trains, so plenty of time to reflect, we need some early goals to settle the team and get the confidence from winning.
Hammering MK would be a good place to start!

ps the run from the ground to catch the 17:15 train home is about the only exercise this Canary gets these days...
