ok, well if we're in the relegation zone (or just out of it on goal difference) having spent a relatively large amount of money, for this division, and the players are wandering around the pitch like they couldn't give a s**t i don't expect the board to stick with the manager out of blind-faith

however, if we're mid-table i do hope the board show faith and realise that it's not likely that we're just going to piss all over everyone in this division, because regardless of the mess we're in, i do think that enough of our fans are going to be expecting the whole season in the play-off position as an absolute minimum.
