Thank God he was outvoted. I expect them to make realistic choices

Based on a candidate's prior record. I wouldn't be half as angry if they'd made appointments which on the face of it made obvious sense. In that case, I'd be much more inclined to a conclusion of bad luck and unforeseeable circumstances. As it is, there was noting in Grant, Roeder or Gunn's prior record to suggest they'd be a success.

Munby acknowledged the other day that the board are "least practiced" in choosing managers. That being the case, they should have got people who ARE practiced in choosing them on there long before now.
