Big Sam had been out of the game for quite a while after his bad spell at Newcastle.
He wasnt being linked with any of the Prem jobs.
probably only a few clubs who would be interested.
Sunderland turned him down after he begged for a chance there.
I think he was in the same position that Curbs is now in.
He might have to take a lower job to prove his worth again and rebuild his career.
I think if Big Sam was available when we sacked Roeder we might have had a small chance of getting him.
Ironically in size, at the time Norwich was one of the top 30 clubs in England and Big Sam wasnt getting a job at the top 15 clubs.
